Pastor Koschmann’s entire ministry has been served at Our Savior when he came in 1983 as Missionary-at-Large to the Carol Stream Lutheran Mission. His ministry falls into two areas; first as a pastor in serving the families of the congregation and community through worship, preaching, teaching, and pastoral care and then as an administrator in leading the Staff, Board of Directors, Elders, and Ministry Teams.

Pastor Koschmann received his Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri and his BA degree from Concordia College in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Pastor Koschmann and his wife Judy were married in 1980 and are blessed with two married sons and grandchildren. He enjoys time spent with Judy hiking, bicycling, and traveling.

Pastor Nick became the Associate Pastor at Our Savior in January 2015.  He will serve our young adults and families as well as areas of discipleship, worship and youth.

A native of the Chicago suburbs, Pastor Nick graduated from Valparaiso University in 2004 and toured a year with Youth Encounter Captive Free North Central.  There he met his wife Kirby, a native of Australia, and they married in 2007.  Upon graduating from Concordia Seminary St. Louis in 2011, he was called to serve as Associate Pastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, MI.  During his time there he worked with high school youth and led the worship team in addition to preaching and teaching. 
Pastor Nick and Kirby have two young children: Lilly and Toby. 
His passions include music, Chicago sports, card games and modern board games.

As a Deacon at Our Savior Jeff serves in a wide variety of areas assisting the pastors as needed. Deacon Zoellick serves in the areas of worship, small groups, stewardship, membership, education, and technical support areas. He began working at Our Savior in 1990. After completing Lay Minister classes at Concordia University Wisconsin, he was commissioned as a Lay Minister in 1995. Prior to working at Our Savior he worked in the industrial television field as a Producer/Director. His undergrad degree is from Northern Illinois University in Communication Studies-Radio/TV/Film.

Deacon Zoellick lives with his wife Cindy in Carol Stream. Their son Casey and his wife Sarah live in Wyoming where he serves in the United States Air Force as a Weather Officer. Sarah is a journalist with the Wyoming Tribune Eagle. Their daughter Jennifer Works at the University of Illinois at Chicago as an Athletic Communications Assistant.

Marsha Berardi is the Office Coordinator. Marsha began working part-time for Our Savior Lutheran Church in September of 1998, and then started full time in October of 2004. She answers the phone, prepares the bulletin/prayer card/News In Brief for the weekend services and many jobs in between. She enjoys the versatility of the job and the people she works with. Marsha has been a member of Our Savior Lutheran church for 26 years.

Marsha has been married to her husband, Mike, going on 31 years. They have an adult son, Nathan, two dogs, a bird and a cat. Marsha loves reading, being in a Small Group (Thirsty Women), and traveling.

Tony coordinates the work and negotiates the cost of maintaining the church properties and secures bids and negotiates all proposals for capital projects and equipment.  Additionally, he is responsible for updating the church calendar to accommodate the numerous groups who would like to use our church facilities.

Tony has been a member of OSLC for 29 years. In July, 2004 he became the Business Manager after being involved in many church activities for several years.  He was the Chairman of the Outreach committee and with his team, made many visits to people who had visited our church.  He also, for many years, was the official greeter at the 10:30 AM service and was also the facilitator for a support group for widows and divorced people called Helpmates. He conducted seminars on Evangelism, taught numerous Bible studies, and is now a member of our Church Prayer Chain.   He enjoys using his time and talents for the benefit of the church.

Tony is blessed with a wonderful wife, a daughter, daughter in law and six grandchildren. He enjoys trying new recipes, antiquing, visiting the Botanical Gardens, walking by Lake Michigan, and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren.  In the summer, Tony and his wife Karen, vacation in Door County with his brother and family.

Melissa Johansen

Melissa began working as the Communications Coordinator in January 2012. She is responsible for maintaining the website, managing church social media, graphic design, creating the News in Brief, creating and sending emails through MailChimp, and using various media to promote church ministries and programs within the congregation and local community.

In August 2012, Melissa also took on the role of the Social Ministry Director.  In this role, Melissa is responsible for educating the congregation about issues of social justice, maintaining and creating ministries to care for our neighbors in need in our community, recruiting volunteers to support Social Ministry programs, and connecting the Faith in Action activities with spiritual growth.

Melissa went to Augustana College where she received her B.A. in Psychology and Spanish. She also attended Loyola University in Chicago and earned a M.A. in Social Justice.

Melissa also works part-time at Feed My Starving Children. She enjoys cooking, gardening, cycling, knitting, and traveling (especially to El Salvador).
